Huntsville in the Fall

An example of Huntsville in the fall - the "Beautiful Tennessee Valley".

Jackson took a break after hiking back down the mountain.

We had a great day for pictures yesterday, sunny and warm. I just hope some of them turned out. It's a chore to get 2 small boys to smile at the same time! It was nice just being out enjoying all the fall colors.

All 4 of us have bad colds - just in time for Thanksgiving! I had to keep Carson home from church today - he's running a fever. He had a throwing up episode today as well. Every time he gets a cold or something, it aggravates the reflux. He's a pretty miserable little boy right now. All he kept down today was a Popsicle. He did keep his medicine down though, so hopefully that will help.

We recognized our laymen in church this morning. I had a Christmas ornament for each person. (hunting ornaments for the deer hunters, gardening ornaments for the gardeners, a teddy bear ornament for a bear collector, etc.) We try to do something every year around Thanksgiving time for "Laymen Appreciation". It's kind of our answer to Pastor Appreciation. We have a great group of laymen , and we are thankful for each one of them. They all work as hard as we do.

It is so beautiful there. Makes me a little homesick! Most of our leaves have fallen already.
