Scrapbooking, Etc.

Here is the product of my last scrap session. I really had fun with this one. It's called " One Brave Little Patient". I bought a new sewing machine this past weekend and I learned how to use it on this page, so don't look too closely at the stitching. I'm thrilled with the new machine - it sews so much nicer (and easier) than my old one.

Speaking of Carson, he's sick again. He has a nasty cold with lots of drainage which makes his reflux that much worse. He hardly eats anything at all, and when he does, well, you know what happens. He's pretty miserable right now. David's a bit under the weather, too. He has gotten a flare up of tendonitus in his hip - he can hardly move that leg. Carson has stopped limping, so now David started it. Is there some kind of law that says everyone in our family can't all be well at the same time? Someone is always sick, or so it seems. I'm blaming it all on the cold weather - I blame everything on the cold weather.

Brrrr.........

I'm freezing.
So I've been browsing through pictures from Spring time and Summer time
in an effort to warm my spirits. So, humor me here...
Ahhh, doesn't the beach sound good?

And Daffodils? I can't wait.

I just read that the third week of January is the time when more people are likely to become depressed. I don't doubt it, I tend to get depressed in the winter time myself. So I am making a valiant effort to beat the blues. I think I'll go scrapbook some spring pages....But not until I put on my big fuzzy socks.

Snow Day!!

Attention all of my Northern buddies!
I now have a snow picture of my own to contribute to the blogging world. If you look closely, you can see it. It came down pretty heavy for a while. Call me a mean Mom if you like, but I didn't take the boys outside. They stood at the front door and watched it snow while I shivered on the couch with a dreadful sinus infection. When I finally made them shut the door, Carson pitifully said, "Bye Bye Snow." He was right - it's already all gone.

So, naturally with such heavy snowfall, church was cancelled. Not really, there were other reasons as well as the snow, like the afore mentioned sinus infections. So my 3 "Boys" stayed in and played. The coffee table was removed and my living room was transformed into "The Island Of Sodor". They put all of Jackson's Thomas train sets together and it literally filled the entire living room. Thanks Daddy, you made two little boys very happy!

We call Carson "King Kong of the Island of Sodor". Sir Topham Hatt would have a fit if he saw how Carson runs the trains on the railways! But he has fun anyway, even if he does cause Jackson to have a nervous breakdown.

The Birthday Boy!

Carson received his first florist delivery this morning!
Bro. Don and Sis. Linda Davis sent him a balloon bouquet with an adorable little monkey.
It really made his day.

Mommy had to help him blow out the candles on his Birthday cake.

He really enjoyed licking the beaters after mommy made the cake!

Carson had a very nice Birthday. Granna and Papa came up for a few days to help him celebrate. They took us all out to Logan's Steakhouse for a terrific New Year's Eve dinner. Then on New Year's Day we had a little Birthday party for Carson. We had some church friends over for cake and ice cream. He got lots of fun new toys, clothes, and books. He and Jackson are having a great time playing with all the new things!
